FLY-FISHING CHARTER

Fly fishing is great outdoors activity in  Tahiti and her Islands Crytall clear lagoon water, but also a hobby, which consists of catching a fish with a lure called a “fishing fly” which, in most cases, represents either an insect or its larva. 

Popularized in the early 1990s by the successful film and in the middle flows a river of Robert Redford with Brad Pitt, it is a sporting practice - in river, lake or sea - at the end of which the fish is released. 

Because of their uncomparable beauty and originality the Tuamotu Islands (Atolls) have joined the circle of FLYFISHING world destinations - highly coveted by fans - of "Fly Fishing".

Emmanuel is based in Rangiroa, but can operate in everywhere in the Tuamotu Archipelago.

Rangiroa offers incredible spots for fly-fishing. Bonesfish and jacks are main targets. Our guide will advise you on the choice of the flies. Bring your own gear or we provide.

Rangiroa is paradise island rich of marine fauna and flora, a multitude of species of fish and mammals. Emmanuel, originally coming from Raivavae in the Australs islands, was attracted by Rangiroa lagoon, filled with shades of blue colors.  He created Rairoa Fishing and Tours.

The Tahitians have a way of hunting MahiMahi that’s unique in all the world. 

Considering that Mahimahi are probably one of the most widely distributed fish in our planet oceans, that’s saying a lot! 

The design of the ‘Poti Marara’ boats allow the Tahitians to fish this way “chariot style” with an harpoon.

This unique fishing/hunting technic is sporty and generally practiced aboard poti marara, fast and racy boats or bonitiers (both kinds of boats soly available in Tahiti and her Islands).

It is only at the end of a frantic chase that the tired fishs will give up their weapons.
