SPEARGUN FISHING

This experience SEYBLAD will be of interest to both experienced fishermen and people who wish to discover Polynesian fishing techniques which are part of the local culture.

Our Spear fishing Master Pierrick  has been working in the tourism industry since 2004 and has been heavily involved in marine wildlife observation and spearfishing since 2002. 

 Known for his work with sharks, he is the co-founder of the local nonprofit organization Mao Mana Foundation that aids in shark conservation, research, and public education. 

Underwater fishing, trolling, jigg and poppers. We will guide you on the best Spearfishing areas of French Polynésia  and we will assist you with local, species identification and different fishing methods.

A unique and exclusive  experience for those who wish to discover the traditional methods of Spearfishing in French Polynesia. You will discover corals, marine mammals as well as different species of fish.

You will be able to observe a demonstration of the different fishing techniques used by the locals while respecting the methods of management and environmental protection.

The caught fish will be prepared in the local way and will be served fresh for tasting.

The fish of the day will be prepared served for dinner.

The most observed fish are: Red mullet, trevally, surgeons, batfish, groupers, parrots and dog tooth tunas.

Sustainability and minimal impact on the marine environment is a high priority on all of our tours. We support scientific efforts to improve our understanding of the marine ecosystem.

Part of the catch will be donated to a research center based in Moorea.
